I choose only small and medium-small family-run wineries for my portfolio.
Families who believe in the their territory and respect the nature. Here you will find both conventional and organic/biodynamic wines.
I Stefanini
The winery was established in 2003 by Francesco Tessari (owner&winemaker). He has 18 ha of the vineyards in the area of Soave (VR).

"I Stefanini" comes from an ancestor Stefano, who was so small that in town everybody called him with the term of endearment "Stefanino" and over time all family took this nickname.

Francesco has specialised in the production of 3 Soave from 3 different soils (silt&clay, volcanic red and volcanic black) and since the beginning won several important awards: 3 Bicchieri del Gambero Rosso, Wine Enthusiast, Decanter.
Sui Nui
The winery is located in the heart of Valdobbiadene area and specialized in production of Prosecco.
Nowdays the company is run by 3 brothers: Marcello, Ezio and Davide Bressan, who are the forth generation of vine growers.

The name "Sui Nui" identifies the place where the company was born and the original name of the map, that dates back to the beginning of 1800.
The winery was established in 2000, when Masiero family planted their first row of Merlot.
Biodynamic wines.
At the beginning the wine production should had been just a hobby for Franco, but soon he was able to convey his passion for nature and wines to his wife Francesca and their daughter Giulia.
For white wines is used maceration and in none of the wines (white and red) are added sulphites.

The wines produce are: Verdugo (100% Merlot), Moki (Pinot Grigio frizzante), Lazzaro (100% Garganega), Urban (70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc), Giusto (100% Tai Rosso)
Tenuta Ballast SS, alias Cortenera, is located in Gambellara , near Vicenza. The winery is specialised in traditional method sparkling wines made with Durella and Garganega.
Cortenera was established in 2014. Gianluca Ferrari (the owner) was able to transform a new unknown winery in high quality premium wines present in some of the best restaurants in Veneto region (Michelin stars and not).
Sguardi di Terra
The winery was established by Maurizio Venegoni, Andrea Venegoni and Massimo Pinetti, united by the passion for Lugana.
Organic wines.
They were in love with wines since ever (working in food and interior design industries) but only in 2016 they decided to create their own wine brand.
The name "Silenzi di Terra" means literally "silences of the earth/soil" and comes from a piece of a rock music band "Banco del Mutuo Soccorso" wrote in 1978 speaking about the connection between the man and the nature, using the term "silenzi di terra".

The winery produces: Lugana Doc, Lugana Doc Riserva, Lugana Doc Traditional Method sparkling wine, Valtenesi Doc Chiretto, Valtenesi Doc Groppello

Vicentini Agostino
Forth generation of producers of Soave e Valpolicella located in Val d'Illasi, 15 km from Verona.
Azienda Agricola Vicentini Agostino manages 20 hectors of the vineyards and produces 120.000 bottles of wine/year.
The winery pay particulary attention to respect enviroment and chose not to use herbicides. Since 2021 they started to convert to organic agriculture.

This winery has different international accolades, for example 10 times winning Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso for Soave Docg Superiore "Il Casale".
Corte Manzini
Producers of Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Dop, known all around the world for their high quality dry wines.
The company was founded in 1978 by Manzini brothers and it's still family-run winery. It covers an area of over 25 hectares, 10 of them are vineyards.
The wineru produces 6 different Lambrusco, most of them are dry, but also semi sweet and rosè.
Their "Corte Manzini secco" was the favourite Lambrusco by Luciano Pavarotti and it was served at his marriage. At the beginning of 2021 "Acino" was chosen by Massimo Bottura, Osteria Francescana, for Stanley Tucci's show "Searching for Italy" on CNN.

Corte Canella
This one is first of all a family, born in Valpolicella, which put itself out there to bottles passion and enthusiasm, to produce wines which leave a mark.
It's a young and family-run winery born in 2009 thanks to their dad Francesco's passion. The components of their family are Adriana, Francesco, Gloria e Veronica: each has its own task and each is irreplaceable.
In the last years their wines have achieved high scores in the international guides.
Corte Mainente
Ugo, Marco and Davide Mainente are the second and the third generation of wine producers that have dedicated all their life to the most famous Italian white wine: Soave.
Established in 1939 and located in the heart of Soave, with a terrific view on one the the most beautiful historical village of Italy, the family Mainente works 12 hectares of Garganega.
The winery produces 6 different Soave: in stainless steel tanks, in oask and recioto.
Their Soave Doc Classico "Tovo al Pigno" was recognized by Forbes as one of the best wines of 2019.
Cà la Bionda
Producers of top quality Valpolicella. Organic wines
The winery is located in Marano di Valpolicella, in the heart of the most ancient area of Valpolicella classico. The family Castellani founded the winery in 1902 and, nowdays, they are on their forth generation of wine producers.
The winery covers 29 hectares of the vineyards.
The wines produced are 8, 2 of them (Valpolicella Superiore and Amarone) are limited edition and made only in the best vintages.
They gained high scores at some of the best international guides, like Robert Parker, Vinous and Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso.
Fattoria La Valentina
Historic and awarded winery producing organic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
The company was founded in 1990 by Sabatino, Roberto and Andrea Di Propezio. Since its inception it has been decided to adhere to the principles of sustainable development and to consider environment and sustainability as factors of competitiveness.
The company produces organic wines.

In just over 30 years of activity they have earned hundreds of international awards, including: 3 Gambero Rosso Glasses, Robert Parker, James Suckling, Wine Spectator and Vinous scores
La Rabiosa
Not just wine, but a social project born from the desire to give new life to a territory that, in the last fifty years, has been severely hit on an environmental and social level.
La Rabiosa was born in 2019, in Padua, from the will of 4 partners: Santo, Gianni, Alessio and Gianluca - to make a real contribution to the environmental recovery of the area mistreated by the tanneries located in the province of Vicenza.
La Rabiosa takes its name from a river that no longer exists, but is not forgotten for this.
The 4 partners produce organic and natural wines, with long forgotten indigenous grapes, like Vernazzola.
